Welcome to Middle Park Primary School. Our school offers students a caring and nurturing learning environment. Our dedicated and experienced teachers provide a positive and enriching program, appreciating the individual needs and interests of each child.
The Middle Park Primary School community strives to build a ‘community of learners’ that works towards the collective success for all. Together we aim to ensure that individual ‘next step’ learning is relevant, meaningful and applicable to the learner. We promote resilience, persistence and independent learning strategies to foster lifelong learning that capably prepares our students for the 21st Century. We believe that strong, interdependent relationships within a community acts to support our students to develop resilience which will enable them to take responsible risks, solve complex problems through strategic persistence and ‘bounce back’ quickly from inevitable disappointments. We have a proud history of offering a range of programs for our students; visual arts, French, physical education, information technology, sporting events, camps, robotics, student leadership opportunities and peer mediation which aim to foster relationships and ensure a sense of purpose and belonging. MPPS has a well-established and highly regarded before and after school hours program (OSHC) run by Team Kids. A range of activities are offered by qualified and highly dedicated staff. Our program operates from 7:00am to 8:45am and from 3:30pm until 6:30pm. Vacation Care programs are also offered. The most profound learning occurs when there is a healthy relationship between teachers, parents, and students. At MPPS we are continuously looking for ways of enhancing community engagement and connections.
Shine your brightest ….

Middle Park Primary School is located in a beachside area of Melbourne within the City of Port Phillip. The original school buildings were constructed in 1887 and are now classified by the National Trust. Many of the beautiful features of the school remain and major upgrades were undertaken over the last five years. Some of the original features have been restored and further enhanced with modern facilities. The school has a relatively small catchment area bound by Kerferd Road, Beaconsfield Parade, Langridge Street and Canterbury road. An enrolment management plan has been established with agreement from the Regional General Manager and local schools in response to the increasing enrolments and limited space across all schools in the area. Neighbouring schools include Albert Park Primary School, St Kilda Park Primary School and Port Melbourne Primary School. On leaving Middle Park Primary School, a significant number of students move to Albert Park College and other students attend a range of private schools and secondary colleges.
